The BURKINI USA Story..

 

BURKINI USA was created through one woman’s struggle to find swimwear that suited her lifestyle. As someone who dressed modestly, and also loved the outdoors, swimming and keeping fit, intertwined with a keen eye for fashion, swimwear that incorporated all of these things was impossible to find. So she decided to design her own.

After a year talking to women of all faiths and none on the high street about the difficulties they faced when swimming or heading to the beach, I set to work creating the BURKINI USA SWIM range which launched in November 2014.

Inspired by some of my favourite looks, modified to the level cover I wanted to achieve, the Burkini USA brand has all the elegance of classic Hollywood, Moroccan beach cool and minimalist design. The swimsuits are made from light weight, fast dry, premium quality Italian Carvico fabric with High UV protection and can be bought as a full set, including a chic turban style head covering, leggings, and long line, long sleeve tops, so you can create the fit and cover you want.

Since launch we have showcased our designs at London Modest Fashion Week and look to expanding our range with more design savvy, adaptable active wear for the contemporary women.

The BURKINI USA brand appreciates that every woman is different, has a sense of what she feels comfortable in, but doesn’t want to compromise on looking and feeling good, whether that’s lounging by a poolside, kicking it on the beach or going for a swim. BURKINI USA looks to reflect the beliefs and values of women from all walks of life.

We aspire for designs that are fit for purpose and also ethical. We work very closely with our tailors ensuring ethical working conditions, ensuring we meet fair trade standards.

we have designed a range of swimwear that fits the needs of all women to help increase participation rates in swimming. Through our ‘BURKINI USA’ campaign we want to tell the real story of women who exercise through swimming. They come in all shapes and sizes.
